Badrinath: The Abode of Lord Vishnu-
Nestled amidst the Garhwal Himalayas, on the banks of Alaknanda river, Badrinath stands as a testament to divine grandeur. Legend has it that this sacred temple of Lord Vishnu was established by the Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. It is surrounded by majestic peaks and lush forests, and the temple of Badrinath exudes an aura of divinity and serenity.
The Temple– The sanctum sanctorum of Badrinath enshrines the beautiful idol of Lord Vishnu, in his form as Lord Badrinarayan. It is adorned with fine jewels and intricate garments. The architecture of the temple, with its intricate carvings, is a sight to behold, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of India.
Spiritual eminence– Devotees believe that offering prayers at this sacred site washes away sins and paves the path to peace and salvation, granting devotees divine blessings and eternal happiness.
Kedarnath: The Seat of Lord Shiva-
Located on the tall peaks of the Himalayas, amidst the rugged terrain and pristine beauty, lies the sacred shrine of Lord Shiva. This ancient temple, located at an altitude of 3,583 meters above sea level, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and holds enormous significance in Hindu mythology.
The Temple– The temple of Kedarnath, exudes a mystical charm and positivity. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks and meandering streams, the temple stands as a symbol of Shiva’s strength. The Garbh-Griha of this temple has a Shiva-ling which is worshipped by the devotees.
